UK MPs asked to consider palm oil issue

There has been further high profile pressure in the palm oil campaign today. A parliamentary reception today took the campaign for sustainable palm use to UK politicians, led by a Liberal Democrat MP and organised by Friends of the Earth - you can read their press release here. http://www.foe.co.uk/resource/press_releases/mps_asked_to_act_to_save_t_28042006.html.
Come back to this site to see if there is any feedback on what happened.

Stay up to date with the orangutan and palm oil story at our dedicated website to raise the profile of the issue - www.cockroach.org.uk - home of the Orangutan Film Protection Project

International help on the campaign would be greatly appreciated. The three major importers of palm oil are the European Union, China and India. We are mounting an effective campaign to raise awareness of the issues here in Europe but would welcome help to raise the profile in India and China.

Please drop me an email if you want to help:
